A scientific suicide mission bearing the seal of the INTEC Corporation unleashes horror: A genetic experiment goes horribly wrong, transforming harmless cockroaches and beetles into carnivorous eating machines with a voracious appetite for humans. Barely unleashed, the mutation crawls, creeps, and swarms from the shadows, directly into the sleepy idyll of the small town of North Port. What follows is a massacre: Pets vanish and children scream as they are torn apart alive by thousands of tiny pincers. But this is only the beginning, for the victims do not remain dead. They change. Something in the bite, the saliva, the black venom of these creatures transforms them. There is only one last option: The nest must be destroyed. The origin. The breeding ground of horror. But the nest lives, and it grows.

The effects-heavy cult horror film in the style of THE FLY (1986) and THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD (1982) teaches us to be afraid, but garnishes the whole thing with black humor like RE-ANIMATOR (1985) or NIGHT OF THE CREEPS (1986).
