Summary:

While trying to save a suspected witch from death, Count Salmenau is murdered in cold blood by Natas, a henchman of the witch commissioner Balthasar von Ross. The murder puts the Countess and her son in the sights of the sadistic and obsessive witch hunter, who relentlessly pursues them with inhuman cruelty. However, in captivity, the Countess unexpectedly finds support in the nun Clementine, who is also threatened with being burned alive, and in one of the torturers...
