The international drug trade generates $44 billion annually worldwide. The business of addiction is booming. Police and the state are powerless. Under pressure from the Washington government, an example is to be made. In the main growing region, the "Golden Triangle," vast opium fields are destroyed in a large-scale military and police operation. The local drug mafia retaliates.
