Somewhere in Texas, a prisoner transport goes off the road. Its passengers are some of the most dangerous psychopaths in the US—beasts in human form, long awaiting execution. Now the criminals have escaped and barricaded themselves in a busy shopping mall. The unfortunate victims in the gangsters' clutches become objects of perverse brutality and endless humiliation at the hands of the broken escapees, led by Wallace (Danny Trejo).
When all hope seems lost, they reactivate Rudy (Mickey Rourke), a former mercenary living in idyllic surroundings on his farm.
He doesn't really feel the need to resort to weapons again, but becomes suspicious when he learns that his brother Joe (Kevin Gage) is among the hostage-takers.
So Rudy has to show what he has learned one last time and sets off.
POINT BLANK - OVER AND OUT is the most brutal, malicious and cynical action movie of the nineties that you have never seen.
Flying at breakneck speed under the public radar and straight into the hearts of the censors, the film shows an enormously violent Mickey Rourke in a DIE HARD fight against a veritable chamber of horrors of the worst criminals.
At its head, always on the verge of exploding, is Danny Trejo, who with this mad role in 1998 probably laid the foundation for his career beyond minor appearances.
